On 29 June 08, we had a very special worship service and celebration to honor the work of Roger Sizemore and his wife Brenda. Roger came to us in a time of great trial, and set about the work of showing us how to move forward. Among Roger's many gifts to us are:
And now we begin the next steps on our transformational journey. Indeed, it was this very journey that led Rick and Kris to us.
We would like to extend our grateful appreciation to Roger and Brenda for their leadership, fellowship, and love. And while the time has come to say farewell, we are emphatically not saying goodbye. Roger and Brenda's many friends here will see to that.
After the worship service, we held a reception in the Narthex, followed by dinner in the fellowship hall. During the reception, we honored Roger and Brenda with several gifts, including a contribution to the group Christian Churches Together in Roger's behalf.
