Choosing a faith community is an important decision. There are many factors you will want to consider. Will the people in this community welcome me openly and honestly? Can I “be myself” in this place? Will I be challenged to grow and deepen my walk with God? Will I find comfort, strength and peace when life is difficult or stressful for me? Will I be given opportunities to serve in meaningful and positive ways? Is this church serious about improving life for others, both in this immediate community and beyond?

These are just some of the important questions you may be asking yourself as you look for a church. Of course, there are other questions, too. How do people dress here? What time do worship services start? What opportunities are available to study the Bible, to grow in my prayer life, to meet others and form lasting friendships?
